🕊️Three Years of War in Ukraine: Stories of Resilience, Prayer, and Hope
Welcome to the latest edition of the EBF newsletter, where we bring you updates, insights, and stories from across our vibrant Baptist community.
PRAY FOR UKRAINE
Three years ago, war changed the lives of millions in Ukraine. Yet in the midst of devastation, the Church has remained steadfast—bringing hope, offering refuge, and proclaiming the Gospel. In this issue, we share reflections from Igor Bandura, leader of the Ukrainian Baptist Union, on the journey of the past three years. We also hear testimonies from church planters in Ukraine and Belarus — voices of faith and resilience from across the region. Finally, we invite you to join us in prayer with a written prayer for Ukraine and its churches. May this newsletter be a call to remembrance, solidarity, and continued action for peace.
As Ukraine marks this painful anniversary, churches continue to stand in the gap—offering shelter, hope, and the power of prayer. Amid destruction, new churches have risen, pastors have been ordained, and thousands have found strength in Christ. As February 24th becomes a National Day of Prayer, we invite you to stand with Ukraine in intercession and thanksgiving. Read more about how faith is transforming tragedy into testimony.
Prayer for Ukraine
We invite you to join us in lifting up this written prayer for Ukraine. We encourage you to share it within your union, church, or small group, as we pray together for peace, strength, and healing in this time of need. Let us unite in prayer for the people of Ukraine.
National Day of Prayer
Every month, on the last Wednesday, around 50 people gather for our Zoom prayer meetings. This month, we’ve decided to move it to Monday, February 24th, to coincide with Ukraine's National Prayer Day. We invite you to join us as we lift up Ukraine and the world in prayer. See you there!
Over the past three years, countless people have suffered due to war and displacement. Yet, even in these challenging circumstances, many brothers and sisters have boldly shared God’s love, serving those in need with unwavering faith. Read how God is moving in the midst of hardship and be inspired by stories of courage and faith!
