By God’s Grace, UNDETERRED

IMPACT REPORT | October 2023 -  October 2024

Two months into 2025, the future of the Middle East remains just as uncertain as it was when we sent out our last newsletter at the end of 2024. Yet glimmers of hope have appeared.

Since December, several major events have occurred in the region. In Gaza, a fragile ceasefire went into effect in January, leading to the exchange of Palestinian and Israeli hostages and prisoners. In Lebanon, a new president was elected and a new government was formed, raising hopes that our country might finally be able to rebuild after several years of conflict and crises. Across the border in Syria, political transition continues, with Ahmed al-Sharaa appointed as president.

It is difficult to assess with certainty what these developments mean for our region and what they may lead to. Both peace and further conflict seem to be on the table. We pray for the former, while trusting God that He will care for and sustain us in the event of the latter, just as He did in the final months of 2023 and throughout the entirety of 2024. By God’s grace, we stand firm and undeterred.

In some ways, this latest annual year is not so different from previous ones. Tragedy and hardship are once more underlying themes, the backdrop and shaper of the work that our ministries did this past fiscal year. The war between Hezbollah and Israel affected all of Lebanon in various ways, requiring us and Thimar’s family of ministries to adapt and change their programs and work. At the height of the conflict, it prompted us to direct the bulk of our efforts toward responding to urgent needs as thousands of people were killed and more than a million others fled their homes. For yet another year in a row, we faced darkness and hardship. But in it all, we saw again the glory of God, experiencing His blessings and favors as He guided and enabled us to help those in need and share the gospel through the work of our partner churches.

There are many stories and testimonies to be shared about all that God did in Lebanon and across the region throughout Fiscal Year 2024. We hope that this year’s impact report provides a snapshot of it, specifically regarding how God used us and our partners to advance His mission and word in the Middle East.

As we continue forward into 2025, we extend our gratitude once more to all of you – our partners whose support helps make our work possible. We appreciate all the support that you provided – be it financially, emotionally, or spiritually – through the last fiscal year. In this new era, we pray that our region will experience a just and lasting peace defined by the spread of the gospel.

To God be all the glory.
